The Game Agency is a division of ELB learning, and it is dedicated to making education fun. They have created a number of games for use in education, corporate training, and consumer marketing. While working there, I was asked to design new characters, re-design some old ones, and create promotional content for The Training Arcade, and its premium add-on, Arcades.
This is one of the original sets of characters I was asked to upgrade. The style was out of date, and TGA was attempting to re-vamp them for a more modern audience.

I was given a visual target of flat illustrated characters with rounded shapes, and produced this sketch for approval.

This was the first pass of the design, and along with some additional small changes, I was informed that the character in the middle needed to look more like a girl.

These versions of the characters were accepted for the final pass.
I was also asked to create an email asset to advertise an Arcades game tournament celebrating our self-service, open-registration Arcade. The design brief said it must be 600 pixels wide and 450-500 pixels tall, and read as follows:
Join Our New Arcade Mini Challenge!
Play Games, Experience Learning Journies, Earn Badges
Win Prizes!
I was provided with the Arcades logo, and a few assets featuring the Arcades homepage on a device. From there, I pitched a few ideas based on the colors in the logo.

Eventually, the team chose the version above, but they asked for a few minor revisions, including a slight change to the copy.

This was the final version that was sent in the e-mail.
